The £2.3m St Aiden’s Close design and build contract in Hartlepool was constructed on behalf of Karbon Homes.
The Gus Robinson Developments team identified the site as having the potential to deliver new and affordable homes within an area of Hartlepool where there was identified need. The site itself was a brilliant opportunity for a development of new homes as it was directly situated near local facilities including the Brierton Sports Centre, Summerhill Country Park and local schools.
The team managed all aspects of the planning application which was submitted 4th April 2017 with approval following on 31st July 2017. Work commenced on site on 11th August 2017 and was completed on time and within the client’s budget by 7th December 2018.
Having carried out early consultation with the local planning authority, the team at Gus Robinson worked with their partners at Karbon Homes to create a mix of 23 high specification 3-and-4-bedroom houses, which not only complemented the local area, but also provided Karbon Homes with the perfect opportunity to unveil their new, modern house types.
Gus Robinson Developments took Karbon Homes’ new house type range that were still in development and used them for the first time on this site. The technical team at Gus Robinson who are very experienced in all aspects of design and development of new house types, worked to ensure that Karbon’s vision for their new range could be fulfilled to a high standard. The outcome was one that was extremely impressive and was exactly what the client was hoping for as the development stood out as a new contemporary scheme within the local area.
