Social Housing
We have operated within the social housing sector for four decades and are experienced in carrying out contracts under both partnering and traditional tendering procedures.
During this time we have worked with a number of clients including Endeavour Housing Association, Hartlepool Housing, North Star Housing Group and Richmondshire County Council.
One ongoing example is our seven-year partnering association with Housing Hartlepool, for whom we have carried out Decent Homes Standard refurbishment works to hundreds of properties in Hartlepool.
Most of these works are carried out in occupied properties and include roofing, replacement windows, bathrooms and kitchens as well as electrical and heating upgrades.
The success of our partnership with Housing Hartlepool is exemplified by the recent project completed at Albany Court. This was the major refurbishment of an occupied sheltered housing complex. The project won the prestigious Constructing Excellence in the North East (CENE) award for “Integration & Collaborative Working 2010”, beating nine other strong nominees. (See all news)
Successful projects like Albany Court don’t just happen by accident; it takes a well-trained highly motivated workforce. This award is testimony to Gus Robinson Developments ability to plan, program and work in close collaboration with landlords and their tenants to deliver complex renovation projects on time, safely and within budget.
Another partnering scheme that we are proud of is the one we have forged with Endeavour Housing Association (EHA). This scheme is a collaborative effort involving all of our core departments. EHA are utilising an appointment system that provides their tenants with a date and time scale of when works will be carried out. We provide building, plumbing and electrical trades to carry out the works and deliver our clients promise to their tenants.
Working in people’s homes is serious business and we pride ourselves on providing a high-class personal service. All our employees are enhanced CRB checked and carry ID. We employ an experienced full time tenant liaison officer who is involved with all of our social housing projects and for complete peace of mind our emergency call out team are only a phone call away should you require their services.
