DATE FOR YOUR CALENDAR - SATURDAY 19TH MAY 2018 - GUS ROBINSON FOUNDATION BALL
Due to the overwhelming success of our annual event we have decided to again hold our 2018 event at Hardwick Hall, Sedgefield. As the venue is very popular we have reserved the Coleman Suite for next year and we hope to welcome back guests who attended this year and hopefully some new guests who have yet to join us. Pencil it in your calendar now, as this year's event was a sell out almost immediately - and we are limited to 300 guests.
SECOND ANNUAL BALL RAISES OVER £14,000
We were delighted to raise even more than the £12,000 raised last year. The evening was a great success, our guests had lots of fun, won some great prizes and helped the Foundation raise funds for local youngsters - this year we hope to support even more worthy youngsters to achieve their full potential.
ANNUAL FUND-RAISING BALL – 22ND APRIL 2017
The Foundation’s 2nd Ball is to be held at the Hardwick Hall on Saturday 22 April 2017 and is yet again a complete sell-out.
Judith Robinson, Foundation Trustee, is chairing the Committee she put together to organise the event and is thrilled it has proved to be so popular. She said: “We are delighted to be able to say our second Ball is again a complete sell-out.
“We have been absolutely amazed by the amount of goodwill shown by people towards the Foundation and we hope to be able to raise thousands of pounds; every penny raised from this event will benefit local youngsters".
THE GUS ROBINSON FOUNDATION INAUGURAL BALL 21ST MAY 2016
The ultimate aim of the Annual Ball is to raise funds and also raise the profile of the Foundation to enable it to help more youngsters achieve their ambitions and goals. The Inaugural Ball in May 2016 raised over £12,000.
Michael Bretherick, the Foundation’s Chairman, was delighted by the positive response to the first fund-raising event the Foundation organised.
He said: “The trustees were over-whelmed by the volume of support from local businesses and individuals, our ultimate aim is to raise funds for the Foundation, which will crucially be fed back into our community to benefit youngsters from this region. “Most recently we have been able to support many local initiatives and individuals through Foundation funding, and we are focused on collaborating with local businesses to ensure we continue to raise the aspirations of local youngsters.
