Ongoing and Forthcoming areas of support:
Continued support for Aerospace scholarships (1) and cadetships (2) in order to assist progression into this growing career opportunity. The awards go to students who have successfully completed their first year of Level 3 and progressing into year two. The winners will have shown that they are performing at a consistently high level in their academic studies and displayed a high level of practical skill and aptitude in the flight-line/maintenance environment
An award for “Apprentice of the Year”, open to all apprentices in the town, designed to concentrate minds not only on what a great apprentice looks like, but also what makes a great apprenticeship, concentrating on the quality of the training, the mentorship and support from employers. This award goes to an individual who has shown commitment, drive, enthusiasm and academic prowess as well as making significant impact with their employer
An award for “Sporting Achievement of the Year”, designed to reward and recognize a person who has made a massive impact in their chosen sport, defying all challenges to balance their personal, sporting and College lives
Four more scholarships designed in conjunction with the town’s post-16 institutions, including Cleveland College of Art & Design, Hartlepool 6FC and HCFE
Funding for IT training for 20 young people through partnership work with Hartlepool New Deal for Communities, and focusing on job readiness and life skills
Financial aid for mentorship programmes to be offered to vulnerable young people in primary and secondary education, offered in partnership with Changing Futures NE
Sporting Bursaries to help talented youngsters nurture their talent, and achieve their aspiration
Continued funding towards the development of entrepreneurial skills, including support for the award to be delivered at the Hartlepool Business Forum Awards
Sponsorship for the Engineering Projects event delivered in conjunction with HCFE, with the aim of 120 competitors
Assisting local youngsters to achieve their ambitions – whatever their goal – encouraging them to ‘aim high’ whilst overcoming adversity
We have financially assisted a diverse mix of young people where they may not have been able to continue with their aspirations due to financial hardship.
We have supported a series of projects showcasing construction excellence, encouraging youngsters to consider Construction as a career.
Various local groups - financial assistance to support their ongoing costs and development
